Men's Tennis Enters ACC Championship as the No. 6 Seed

THE FLATS — The No. 6 seeded Georgia Tech men’s tennis team (11-10, 6-6)  will face the No. 11 seeded Louisville Cardinals in the first round of the ACC Men’s Tennis Championship at the Cary Tennis Park in Cary, North Carolina.

The Jackets enter the tournament winning three of their last five matches, including a 4-1 victory over the Cardinals on April 5th.

Carlos Divar and Phillip Gresk have been a steady force for the Jackets. Divar currently ranks 29th in singles, compiling an impressive 13-7 record and winning his last three matches, while Gresk has won 12 singles matches, good for the second most on the team.

Pablo Schelcher has also been an important piece to the Jackets’ season. The freshmen picked up his first ACC singles wins against then-No. 7 North Carolina and then-No.44 Duke. Both wins clinched a victory for the Jackets.

The Cardinals, meanwhile, finished their regular season boating a 15-12 record, and winning two of their final five matches.
