Men's Tennis Concludes Regular Season With Two Road Tests

April 12, 2007

Atlanta – The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team (5-14, 2-7 ACC) will wrap their 2007 regular-season campaign this weekend with two road matches, taking on Maryland on Friday, April 13 at 3 p.m. at the Tennis Center at College Park. The Jackets will then travel to Boston, Mass. to face Boston College at 11 a.m., Sunday at the Flynn Recreation Complex.

Tech holds a 21-6 all-time series lead over Maryland winning the last 16 meetings. In that span, the Jackets have given up only five points to the Terps and have swept the last 14 matches. Maryland’s last win over Tech was on March 18, 1990, 5-4.

Tech has faced Boston College only once, on April 13, 2006 in Atlanta where the Jackets swept the Eagles, 7-0.

Sunday’s match with Boston College will be Georgia Tech’s last regular-season match. The Jackets will travel to Cary, N.C. for the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament April 18-22.
