Matthews Wins Women's Triple Jump

Day 1 Results

AUBURN, Ala. — One day one of the Tiger Track Classic the Georgia Tech track and field team saw Bria Matthews finish first in the women’s triple jump.

Matthews turned in a first-place finish in the triple jump with a 13.30m mark. Mary Claire Solomon also performed well finishing in fourth in the women’s 1500m event with a PR of 4:33.21.

On the men’s side, Henrik Anderson and Sam Costa both ran well in the men’s 1500m event.

Anderson finished in fourth with a PR time of 3:51.67, while Costa turned in a sixth-place finish, running a PR time of 3:52.08.

Day two of the Tiger Track Classic will begin at 11 a.m. with the women’s pole vault at the Hutsell-Rosen Track facility.

Elizabeth Rice: 4:39.02, 9th, PR

Men’s 1500: 

Henrik Anderson: 3:51.67, 4th, PR

Sam Costa: 3:52.08, 6th, PR

Mike Reilly: 3:52.29, 7th

Braeden Collins: 3:52. 68, 9th

James Cragin: 3:52.90, 10th, PR

Frank Pittman: 3:53.89, 12th

Jag Gangemi: 3:57.37, 14th

Joshua Williams: 3:58.16, 15th, PR

Women’s 5000:

Rebecca Dow: 17:52.68, 11th

Hannah Petit: 18:19.28, 18th

Rebecca Entrekin: 18:21.14, 19th

Women’s Triple Jump:

Bria Matthews: 13.30, 1st

Men’s Javelin:

Mark-Kimura Smith: 47.52, 13th
