GREENSBORO, N.C. – Andrew Kent, Nicole Fegans and Liz Galarza were named to the 2020 All-ACC Academic Teams for cross country announced by the conference office on Tuesday.
Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
Kent, a mechanical engineering major, was the Jackets top male finisher at this past seasons ACC XC Championships.
Fegans and Galarza led the Yellow Jacket women to the program’s best finish in school history at NCAA’s and ACC Championships. At NCAA’s Tech placed 20th overall, while at ACC’s the Jackets finished second behind all-ACC performances by the duo and teammate Mary Kathryn Knott.
The ACC Honor Roll, which recognizes all conference student-athletes with a grade point average of 3.0 for the current academic year, will be released in July.
