GREENSBORO, N.C. – Georgia Tech softball standout Emma Kauf has been named All-ACC Second Team, the league office announced on Wednesday. A Yellow Jacket has now been represented in the conference’s annual recognition for five consecutive seasons dating back to 2018 under coach Aileen Morales.
The selection marks the third All-ACC honor of Kauf’s career. The decorated Jacket has now earned ACC honors in each of her opportunities throughout her career as she was voted All-ACC First Team in each of the previous two seasons.
The Lincoln, Neb., native has made her mark on the program, moving up in the Tech record books to second in career doubles with 48 during her time on The Flats. Kauf is now the ninth Yellow Jacket all time to receive three or more All-ACC selections. Of those nine, she’s just the sixth with multiple first team honors under her belt.
Living up to her lofty expectations as a preseason top-10 catcher and top-100 player by D1Softball (No. 8/85) and Extra Inning Softball (No. 10/81), Kauf is amongst the top of the conference as she ranks third in the ACC in triples per game with four on the season.
The steady presence has led the Jacket bats in nearly every category through the year, fronting the squad by batting .347 with 52 hits, 12 doubles and four triples while slugging .620 with a .441 on-base percentage. Kauf has also gone yard seven times this season to rack up 31 RBI. Kauf’s team-best tears this season include a seven-game hitting streak and a 13-game stretch of reaching base.
