THE FLATS – Georgia Tech women’s tennis returns to the courts for a pair of home matches this weekend. The Yellow Jackets kick off the action on Friday at 4 p.m. welcoming cross-town rival Georgia State before hosting No. 11 Northwestern on Sunday at noon. Both matches will take place at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex.
THE SCENE: The Jackets look to extend its win streak at home, carrying a 1-3 overall record into this weekend’s action. Tech is most recently coming off their first dual match win of the season over Winthrop.
Georgia State brings a 1-3 record into Friday’s match, most recently falling at Alabama, 4-3. The Panthers defeated Cornell on neutral ground, 5-2, to record their only win this season.
Sitting at No. 11 in the national rankings, Northwestern stands at 4-3 on the season coming off the ITA Indoor National Championship this past weekend. The Wildcats went 1-1 in Seattle, falling to No. 8 Texas before defeating No. 18 LSU in the tournament. Julie Byrne leads the Wildcats with a 5-2 dual match record, along with Carolina Pozo.

PARKING: Fans attending Friday’s match against Georgia State can park on Fowler Street or in the McCamish Pavilion lot. Sunday’s match will have parking available in the Family Housing Deck.
