ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming teams will compete in the Georgia Invitational, Dec. 1-3, in Athens, Ga., at the Gabrielsen Natatorium. The Yellow Jacket diving teams will host the Georgia Tech Diving Invitational, Saturday and Sunday, in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
“This meet is going to be very fast with teams like Georgia, Southern California, California and Virginia being there,” said Tech coach Stuart Wilson. “It will be a great experience for our team and show us where we need to go in order to be successful at the ACC Championships.
“It’s always good to compete against a high level of competition, including conference foe Virginia.”
The Yellow Jackets will host NCAA champion Auburn and fellow SEC opponent Louisiana State University. That meet is scheduled to begin Saturday at 10 a.m. Platform will conclude the competition on Sunday, beginning at 11 a.m.
The UGA Invitational will begin on Friday with the 200-yard freestyle relay at 9:30 a.m. Prelims will run during the morning sessions and finals will be conducted during the evening sessions, starting at 5 p.m. Sunday’s finals will start at 3 p.m.
