THE FLATS – Georgia Tech track and field splits up on Friday, March 24 as seven Jackets head to Raleigh for the Raleigh Relays while the rest of the squad takes on the FSU Relays in Tallahassee.

Seven Jackets head north for the Raleigh Relays on Friday. Competition kicks off at 9:45 a.m. On the women’s side, Mary Prouty will compete in the 5000m and Melissa Fairey takes on the 10000m. For the men, Jack Bordoni, Christian Bowles, Matt Munns and Tanner Shaw will race the 5000m, while Nahom Solomon competes in the 10000m.

The rest of the team heads to Tallahassee to compete at the FSU Relays. Competition in Tallahassee starts at 9 a.m. with the hammer throw.

The Jackets are coming off a successful opening weekend for outdoor track and field on The Flats, hosting the Yellow Jacket Invitational. Seven Jackets took first place at the invite including freshman Tyson Spears. Spears was named the ACC men’s track performer of the week following his first-place finish in the 100m dash in his outdoor track debut.
