UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Georgia Tech men’s track team sent a small group of runners to compete Friday and Saturday in the Penn State National meet and the Yellow Jackets did not disappoint.

The quartet crossed the line in sixth place in a time of 9:42.43, breaking the previous record of 9:48.49 set in 2000 by Joe Stegal, Tosin Tomori, Brent Johnson and Brendon Mahoney by more than six seconds.

Individually, they excelled on the track. Reese kicked off the running events Saturday for Tech with a season-best time in the 400m invite with a time of 49.67.
