ATLANTA – The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will host nationally-ranked Florida State Saturday, Jan. 17, at Noon, in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.
The men’s team enters the weekend with a 2-1 mark (3-4 overall) in the Atlantic Coast Conference, while the 24th ranked Seminoles are 1-1 in league competition (7-2 overall).
On the women’s side, Tech stands at 1-2 in ACC meets and go up against its third ranked league opponent as Florida State (12-2, 1-0 ACC) enters this weekend with a ranking of 18.
“It’s nice to get back into our home pool,” said head coach Seth Baron. “It’s always good for the athletes to be able to compete in front of friends and family in a familiar pool. Florida State is another formidable opponent with national rankings for both the men and the women. They are a tad deeper than we are at this point, but we have been training really hard and should win our fair share of events.”
All home dual meets in the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center are free admission. The Tech vs. FSU meet can be followed on www.ramblinwreck.com.
