CLEMSON, S.C. – Finishing up the series, Georgia Tech baseball was unable to take the Sunday contest when it fell 14-2 to Clemson at Kingsmore Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets (27-21, 12-15 ACC) were held to just 4-for-17 with runners on and 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position, but were led by Jadyn Jackson, who went 2-for-3, and Chandler Simpson, who went 2-for-5, as Tech’s lone multi-hit performances.

Drew Compton had an RBI with a shot to right field in the seventh to bring home Colin Hall all the way from first, while pinch-hitter John Giesler drove in Stephen Reid on a double in the ninth.

On the mound, Tech struggled to keep Clemson off the board, using six pitchers on the day. Starter RHP Chance Huff (3-4) suffered the loss, allowing five runs on four hits in 1.2 innings.

The Tigers (31-17, 9-14 ACC) were led by Max Wagner, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a home run and two RBI. RHP Jay Dill (2-1) received the win as the first reliever out of the bullpen, allowing one run on two hits in 2.0 innings.

Georgia Tech returns briefly for its final home game of the season when it welcomes in-state foe Georgia Southern on Wednesday, May 11. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra and WREK 91.1 FM.
