INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sophomore Shantia Moss clocked a time of 13.36 in round one of the 100-meter high hurdles to advance to the semifinals to lead Georgia Tech at the USA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships on Friday night.
Senior Brandy Depland posted a sixth-place finish in the finals of the triple jump with a mark of 43 feet, 3 ¼ inches, for the Yellow Jackets.
Junior Ashlee Kidd tallied a 10th-place finish for Tech in the semifinals of the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.37. Senior Andriane Lapsley finished 20th in round one of the women’s 100-meter dash with a time of 11.64.
Junior Fatmata Fofanah crossed the 100m HH finish line in 17th place with a time of 13.79, just missing qualifying for the semis by one position.
At the USATF Junior Championships, freshman Kimery Hern tallied a fourth-place finish with a personal-record mark of 158 feet, 2 inches. Freshman Mellany Stanislaus posted a mark of 39 feet, 3 ¾ inches, to finish in eighth place.
Lapsley will compete in round one of the 200-meter dash on Saturday at 5:15 p.m. ET, while Moss will compete in the semis at 7:52 p.m. ET.
