THE FLATS – The Georgia Tech track and field program finished up competition today at Florida’s Tom Jones Memorial Meet.
Two Jackets recorded impressive performances in the men’s and women’s 800m. Joshua Williams placed 19th for the men in a field 63 runners with a personal-best time of 1:49.97. Kayla Rose placed well for the women, finishing 23rd with a new PR of 2:08.06.
Jamir Gibson competed in the men’s discus, placing fifth with a mark of 56.05 meters (183-10).
Sheleah Harris earned a top 25 finish in the women’s 100m with a time of 11.44.
Jameson Miller and Lydia Troupe placed fourth in their heats in the men’s and women’s 400m. Miller recorded a time of 47.30 and Troupe ran a personal-best time of 55.39.

The Jackets return home next weekend for their Georgia Tech Invite on Friday and Saturday.
