>> Georgia Tech, which knocked off top-seeded Miami Wednesday, continues pool play in the 2014 ACC Baseball Championship on Thursday as the ninth-seeded Yellow Jackets battle fourth-seeded Duke at 3 p.m.

>> The Jackets have won four straight games over all and have won six consecutive postseason games in Greensboro after capturing the 2012 title there.

>> The Jackets have knocked off their pool’s top-seed in each of the last three ACC Championships – 5-4 over #1 Florida State in 2012, 4-3 over #2 FSU in 2013 and 6-3 over #1 Miami this year.

>> Only twice in the last 29 ACC tournaments has the overall No. 1-seed lost on the first day of pool play and Georgia Tech is responsible for both wins — FSU in 2012 and Miami in 2014.

>> Ryan Peurifoy’s career-best 4-for-4 game extended his hitting streak to a career-best eight games. Peurifoy is hitting .750 (6-for-8) in the tournament.

>> Tech’s four starting rookies of Peurifoy, Brandon Gold, Arden Pabst and Connor Justus are a combined .481 (13-for-27) with two doubles four RBI in ACC tournament play.

>> Four Jackets earned All-ACC honors, including second-team selections Thomas Smith (1B), Daniel Spingola (OF) and Matt Gonzalez (OF). Mott Hyde (2B) was named third-team. The ACC honors are the first in the careers of all four.

>> Behind one of the ACC’s best middle infield duos of 2B Mott Hyde and SS Connor Justus, Tech now leads the NCAA with 68 double plays, including two more in Wednesday’s win.

>> Hyde, who leads all active NCAA players in career games (246) and career starts (246), brings a 36-game reached-base streak into Thursday’s game, which is the longest currently in the ACC.

>> With 76 hits and eight triples, junior Daniel Spingola leads the ACC in both categories. He was 3-for-4 in Tuesday’s win with a double, triple, two RBI and a run.
