THE FLATS – Georgia Tech’s annual Pro Day will be held Friday, March 13, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Brock Family Indoor Practice Facility. The GT Pro Day will be streamed live on ESPN3 with Brandon Gaudin and Roddy Jones.
Pro Day is closed to the general public, but it is open to credentialed media who cover Georgia Tech on a regular basis. Media must have credentials to enter the Brock Family Indoor Practice Facility. Credentials used for Georgia Tech events will not be valid.
Media requesting credentials should email Assistant AD Chris Yandle (cyandle@athletics.gatech.edu) by March 11. Credentials can be picked up Friday, March 13, at the entrance to the Rose Bowl Practice Field (along Fowler Street) at 9 a.m.
PARKING: There are a limited number of spaces on 8th Street near McCamish Pavilion (those spots are $1 per hour). Media is urged to purchase one-day parking passes for $8 at the Georgia Tech Parking Office on 5th Street near Tech Square.
INTERVIEWS: Chris Yandle will be there to assist with interview requests. Participating players will be available following the completion of the 225-pound bench press test, which is the last event of the day (begins at approximately 11:45 a.m.). Interviews with head coach Paul Johnson and former players in attendance will take place during an appropriate time during the event.
PHOTOS / VIDEO: Photographers and videographers will be asked to stand on the west side of the indoor practice field for the shuttles, sprints and drills. During the bench press test, photographers and videographers will need to shoot from a side angle so as not to obstruct the ESPN3 cameras.
PARTICIPANTS: This year’s tentative list of participants includes Synjyn Days, Shawn Green, Isaiah Johnson, Zach Laskey, Shaquille Mason, Quayshawn Nealy, DeAndre Smelter (bench and measurable) and Darren Waller (drills only). Former players Jay Finch, Robbie Godhigh, Sean Poole and Orwin Smith are also scheduled to participate in Pro Day workouts.
