Georgia Tech's Kristi Miller Tabbed ACC Women's Tennis Performer of the Week

ATLANTA – Georgia Tech senior Kristi Miller has been tabbed the ACC Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Tuesday morning.

Miller notched a pair of singles wins against ranked opponents to help the Yellow Jackets, ranked No. 2 in the country, post a 6-1 victory against No. 24 Clemson to open conference action and a 5-2 win at No. 16 Notre Dame.

Miller began the week by posting an impressive 6-4, 6-7 (7), 7-6 (6) victory over the nation’s No. 1 singles player in Ani Mijacika of Clemson at the top singles spot last Wednesday. The win marked the third time that Miller has defeated a top-ranked singles player in each of the last three seasons.

The senior from Marysville, Mich. capped off the week with another win vs. a ranked opponent, as she cruised to a 6-3, 6-4 victory against No. 59 Kelcy Tefft of Notre Dame, against at the top singles spot.

Georgia Tech will host Vanderbilt on Wednesday to wrap up its non-conference schedule before hitting the road to resume conference play this weekend at Florida State and Miami.
