The Penn men’s track and field team welcomes the best high school, collegiate and international athletes in the world for the 119th running of the Penn Relays. Franklin Field will see a total of 238 colleges compete, including two colleges from Puerto Rico and four from Jamaica.

The women’s 400-meter hurdles kicks off the meet Thursday at 10 a.m. with Tech’s Ama Larbi competing in the event. The women’s 4×400-meter relay team will take the track at 6:20 p.m.

In the field events, Julienne McKee will compete in the women’s long jump championship. Later in the evening, Donjae Jones, Jasmine Kent and Jhanelle McLeod compete in the college long jump at 4 p.m.

The distance events wrap up the first day of competition with Eric Powers running in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase to start the night session. Billy Koskiewicz runs the men’s 5,000 at 10 p.m. and Katie Townsend will double that distance in the women’s 10,000 at 10:15 p.m.

The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s teams are coming off seventh and 10th-place performances, respectively, at the ACC Outdoor Championships last weekend where the Jackets recorded four first-place finishes.
