Around the league, Harvin recorded three punts for 123 yards in the Steelers 20-10 win over New Orleans last week.
For the Chiefs, Butker did not have a field goal attempt last week as Kansas City defeated Jacksonville 27-17 but did go 3-for-4 on PATs. It’s the first time all season Butker hasn’t attempted a field goal.
Despite being limited to just seven snaps on defense and 24 snaps on special teams, Adam Gotsis made sure to make his impact known, recording one tackle, but recovering a fumble on special teams with 11 seconds left in the first half to setup a 41-yard field-goal try for Jacksonville.
With a season-high 14 snaps on special teams snaps, Tariq Carpenter recorded his first career tackle as Green Bay downed the Cowboys 31-28 on Sunday.
Helping Tampa Bay defeat Seattle in Munich, Germany, offensive lineman Shaq Mason posted his second-best pass blocking grade of the season with an 88.2, according to PFF.
As Jeremiah Attaochu gears up with the Chargers in just his second week with the team, the linebacker took a total of 21 snaps (as opposed to seven) in his first week of duty. Los Angeles fell 22-16 to San Francisco on Sunday.
Competitive Drive Initiative
In a unified endeavor, Georgia Tech, the Georgia Tech Foundation, Georgia Tech athletics and the Alexander-Tharpe Fund have come together to accelerate funding for student-athlete scholarships with the launch of the Competitive Drive Initiative. The initiative kicks off with the Accelerate GT Match Program, where any new gift to the A-T Fund’s Athletic Scholarship Fund made through Dec. 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Georgia Tech Foundation, up to $2.5 million. Should Accelerate GT reach its $2.5 million fundraising goal, the matching gift would result in a $5 million impact for Georgia Tech athletics.
