It is the first time in Tech golf history that four of its players have been named All-America Scholars. Three Yellow Jackets were honored in 2005, 2006 and 2008. All four players made the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic golf team in June, while Schniederjans was named ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the sport.

Tech finished the 2013-14 academic year ranked No. 2 in the nation by Golfweek magazine and No. 4 by Golfstat, winning six tournaments and capturing the program’s 15th ACC title. Schniederjans and Reeves are two of 18 collegiate golfers to be named to both the GCAA’s All-America teams (first, second, third and honorable mention) and All-America Scholars.

Andrews, who graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Management in May, was named for the second straight year, the 13th Tech golfer to earn the honor twice. Reeves also graduated with his Management degree in May, while Albertson and Schniederjans are juniors in Management.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 77.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.

A total of 207 players in Division I, 75 in Division II and 11 in NAIA earned the honor. Additionally, 46 honorees were added to the previously released Division III Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars.
