Dyke, Clevenger Named Academic All-America

ATLANTA (Dec. 13) – Georgia Tech football player Dan Dyke and volleyball standout Carolyn Clevenger have been named GTE Academic All-Americas by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Dyke, the Yellow Jackets’ starting punter, maintains a 4.0 grade point average in Aerospace Engineering and is the recipient of a Georgia Tech President’s Scholarship. The sophomore from Winter Springs, Fla., averaged 43.8 yards per punt, the third-best season mark in school history. His net of 39.5 yards per kick ranked 11th in the nation.

Clevenger, a senior from Oakland, Calif., also maintains a perfect 4.0 grade point average with a double major in Public Policy and History, Technology and Society. A three-year starter for the Yellow Jackets at setter, Clevenger completed her career ranked third in Tech history in career assists with 2,804.
