Alan Nass to be Inducted into Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

New Castle, Ind. – Alan Nass, a former Georgia Tech center and captain of the 1962-63 Yellow Jacket team, will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as part of its 2013 class.

Nass, a 6-6 forward from Huntingburg, Ind., was an Indiana All-Star, leading Huntingburg to a 40-9 record over his junior and senior seasons before attending Georgia Tech, where he started three seasons alongside stars such as Roger Kaiser (from Dale, Ind.), Mike Tomasovich and Jim Caldwell.

He captained the 1962-63 Tech team as a senior and led the Yellow Jackets to a 21-5 record. Nass averaged 6.7 points as a sophomore in 1960-61, 9.7 points in 1961-62 and 6.9 points as a senior.

The 2013 class of the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame will be honored in March of 2013.
