Coming off its first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season, Georgia Tech looks to extend its win streak to two on Sunday. Four Yellow Jackets finished in double-figure scoring totals against Syracuse to lift Georgia Tech to victory. Cameron Swartz led the way with 17 points, followed by Tonie Morgan who contributed 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
North Carolina comes into the contest off back-to-back wins over ranked opponents, most recently, handing No. 13 Duke its first ACC loss of the season, 61-56. The win pushed the Tar Heels’ win streak to four straight and marked the fifth win over a ranked opponent this season. Deja Kelly leads UNC offensively, averaging 16.1 points per game, while Alyssa Ustby leads on the glass with 9.1 rebounds per game.
Georgia Tech took the meeting against UNC last season in Atlanta, but the Tar Heels hold a 60-21 edge in the all-time series. Tech held UNC to a mere 38 points last season, keeping the Heels to a 29.1 percent shooting clip to snap a four-game skid against UNC. Tech seeks its first win in Chapel Hill since 2012.
