Graduating after the fall semester and majoring in psychology, Mariana Brambilla has become the heart and soul of the Yellow Jackets. The Porto Alegre, Brazil, native has racked up accolades during her time on The Flats, being named a Third Team All-American, All-Region twice, All-ACC First Team twice, the NIVC MVP and to the All-ACC Freshman Team. The Brazilian bomber has raked in six career ACC weekly awards to date and is now approaching the top 10 in program history in career kills with 1,423. Brambilla has also totaled 997 digs, 144 total blocks, 96 aces and 68 assists with single match highs of 25 kills and 21 digs. Off the court, Brambilla has been named to three ACC Honor Rolls and two ACC All-Academic Teams.
Graduating this spring and majoring in biomedical engineering, Mikaila Dowd has been a key cog in the Yellow Jackets’ core since her arrival on The Flats. Since arriving from Naperville, Ill., Dowd has been named to the All-ACC Freshman Team, All-ACC Second Team twice and was twice named ACC Freshman of the Week. She’s played in 310 sets through 87 matches in her career, piling up 928 kills, 691 digs, 112 total blocks, 47 aces and 35 assists. Dowd’s career match highs include 26 kills, 21 digs and five total blocks. Off the court, Dowd has seen just as much success, being named to three ACC Honor Rolls and twice earning All-ACC Academic status.
Graduating this spring and majoring in literature, media and communication, Kayla Kaiser has been a spark plug for the Jackets throughout her four-year career. A native of Louisville, Ky., Kaiser has seen the floor since her freshman campaign, serving as a regular starter for much of her career and being named All-ACC Second Team in 2019. Throughout her time on The Flats, the middle blocker has played in 305 sets through 96 matches, totaling 310 kills, 168 digs, 126 total blocks, 72 aces and 36 assists. Kaiser’s career match highs include 16 kills, six total blocks and three aces. Off the court, Dowd has matched her playing success being named to two ACC Honor Rolls and All-ACC Academic in 2019.
Graduating after the fall semester and majoring in business administration, Matti McKissock has put together one of the most successful careers as a setter in Georgia Tech history. Originally from Windermere, Fla., McKissock currently reigns as the Yellow Jackets’ leader in career assists during the 25-point rally scoring era. All time, her 3,666 career assists rank third in program history. Her staggering resume includes being named ACC Setter of the Year, All-ACC First Team, All-ACC Second Team, All-Region and All-Region Honorable Mention. Along with her gaudy assist total, McKissock has added 693 digs, 91 total blocks, 102 kills and 59 aces, including single match highs of 63 assists and 16 digs throughout her illustrious career. Off the court, McKissock has been named All-ACC Academic and to three straight ACC Honor Rolls.
Graduating after the fall semester and majoring in business administration, Breland Morrissette has developed into a key piece for the Yellow Jackets in the middle. Hailing from Birmingham, Ala., Morrissette has played in 104 sets through 36 matches in her career. During that time, she’s totaled 128 kills, 96 total blocks and 24 digs. This season alone, Morrissette has burst onto the scene with 79 total blocks. Her career match highs include 11 kills and six blocks, both of which she also achieved this season. Off the court, Morrissette has been just as successful, being selected to the ACC Honor Roll for three consecutive years.
Graduating this spring and majoring in business administration, Maddie Tippett has been Georgia Tech’s mainstay at libero for the majority of her four years on The Flats. The hometown Atlanta native has played in 319 sets through 92 matches in her career, eclipsing the 1,000 dig mark this season. She now owns 1,045 career digs, and her career average of 3.28 digs per set is on pace to rank among the top 10 in program history. Along with her robust dig total, Tippett has totaled 183 career assists and 33 career aces. In single matches, her career highs include 28 digs, 9 assists and three aces. Off the court, the veteran libero has excelled in the classroom as she’s been selected to the ACC Honor Roll for three consecutive years.
