Georgia Tech athletics director Todd Stansbury joined the Voice of the Yellow Jackets Andy Demetra to record the first “Toddcast” of the 2021-22 academic year this week. Among the topics they discussed were:
- the wide array of honors and recognitions that Tech athletics, its student-athletes, coaches and staff have received over the summer in recognition of their efforts in 2020-21, which included an historic 44th-place finish in the Directors’ Cup standings’
- things to know and look forward to as Bobby Dodd Stadium reopens at full capacity for next Saturday’s highly anticipated football season opener versus Northern Illinois;
- an update on ticket sales for the upcoming football season, including the first “Mayhem at Mercedes-Benz Stadium” game versus North Carolina on September 25;
- a preview of Tech volleyball, cross country and football as all three fall sports open their seasons over the next week;
- this week’s big news about the formation of an alliance between the ACC, Big Ten and Pac-12 and what it all means for Georgia Tech.
