Three Jackets Named All-ACC in Football

Nov. 30, 2015

THE FLATS – Three Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets were named to the 2015 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Football team, announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association (ACSMA).

Each of Tech’s honorees — senior DT Adam Gotsis, senior OL Bryan Chamberlain and senior OL Trey Braun — were selected as honorable mention. Gotsis and Chamberlain were each repeat All-ACC selections.

Gotsis has been among the league’s elite defensive lineman but had his senior season cut short by a knee injury suffered in the Virginia game on October 31. The Abbotsford, Australia native finished the year with 31 tackles, five tackles for loss, and a team-leading three sacks. His career at Tech included 110 tackles, 27.5 for loss and 12.5 sacks.

Chamberlain and Braun were part of an offensive line that helped Georgia Tech lead the ACC in rushing for a ninth consecutive season. Braun started the final 26 games of his career at guard, and finished his career with 34 starts and 47 games played. Chamberlain made 30 career starts and played 51 games.

Gotsis was a second-team All-ACC pick last season by the ACSMA, while Chamberlain was an honorable mention selection.

The ACC will announce the All-ACC team as selected by the league’s head coaches on December 9.
