Three Former Yellow Jackets Place Among Top 10 Women at Rocket City Marathon

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Three former Yellow Jackets placed among the top ten women at the Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville on Saturday morning. Elena Linn (international affairs 2008) was the fourth woman to cross the finish line in the 26.2 mile race with a time of 2:58:55. She finished 30th overall out of 1,343 men and women. This was Linn’s fifth marathon. Neta Ezer (industrial design 2004, Ph.D. engineering psychology 2008) running in her first marathon, placed seventh among the women and 60th overall with a time of 3:08:44. Mary Chind (science, technology and Culture 2007) running in her 13th marathon, rounded out the top 10 women with a time of 3:18:21 and a 100th place overall finish. The last time that Ezer, Chind and Linn all three competed together was during the outdoor track season in 2005.

Jill Davis (management 2009, MS INTA 2012) also completed the marathon, finishing 678th overall with a time of 4:17:27. She competed for the Yellow Jackets in the 2005-06 season.
