Tech Hosts Final Exhibition vs. UAB

Live Stats

THE FLATS — Two-time defending ACC Coastal Champion Georgia Tech baseball hosts its second fall exhibition matchup when it faces off against Conference USA foe UAB on Saturday at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.

First pitch is scheduled for noon and will feature a predetermined 12-inning game between the Blazers and Yellow Jackets.

UAB is looking to rebound after an 18-36 finish in 2021, including an 11-21 record in C-USA play. Georgia Tech is coming off an impressive 12-7 win over Troy in which Andrew Jenkins led the way with two home runs.

Fans of all ages are invited to attend Mac Nease Baseball Park with admission being free to the public. Fans should note that there will not be concessions offered during the game.

This fall will be Tech fans’ first chance to see the 2022 Yellow Jackets prior to the spring schedule. Georgia Tech returns a talented roster from last years’ division champions, including six of nine starters in the field and a stable of arms on the pitching staff.

This fall will also see the emergence of several young Yellow Jackets from Georgia Tech’s third-straight top 25 recruiting class that look to bolster an already deeply talented roster.
