2019-20 (Freshman): One of Tech’s best freestylers this year, who earned his way into Georgia Tech’s record books in his first season … His NCAA B qualifying 500 free time of 4:21.87 at the ACC Championships ranks fifth in program history, and his NCAA B qualifying 1650 time at the ACC Championships (15:14.45) ranks eighth in program history … Also competed with the 200, 400 and 800 free relay groups this season … Won the 500 free against Georgia Southern, SCAD (4:27.57), Auburn (4:28.89), South Carolina (4:29.40) and the 1000 free against South Carolina (9:20.03) … Took silver in the 500 free against Tennessee (4:30.85) and Florida State (4:31.94), and in the 1000 free against Florida State (9:25.35) and Auburn (9:27.94) … Finished third in the 1650 free against Tennessee (15:53.81) … Also earned top-5 finishes in the 500 free at the Georgia Tech Invitational (4:24.47), and the 200 free against Georgia Southern, SCAD (1:40.05).
High School: Main event is freestyle … A four-year letter-winner and two-year captain at Brookwood High School in Lawrenceville, Ga. … Helped lead Brookwood to three Georgia 7A State Championships (2016, 2017, 2018) and four Gwinnett County Championships (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) … Was named an All-American in 2018 … earned all-state honors all four years (2016-19) … Anchored the winning 200 free relay team at the Georgia State Championships to help Brookwood win its third-straight title … Set two Brookwood school records in 2019 – 500 free (4:31.26) and 100 free (45.66) – at the Gwinnett County Championship meet … finished with top-10 times in Swim Atlanta’s record book in the 200 free, 500 free, 1650 free and 400 IM.
