Saturday’s Game at Clemson to be Televised on ABC

THE FLATS – For the sixth time in its last 14 games, Georgia Tech football will play on network television when it visits No. 6 Clemson on Saturday. The Atlantic Coast Conference opener for both teams will be televised nationally on ABC with a previously announced 3:30 p.m. kickoff time, the ACC and ABC/ESPN announced early Sunday morning.

Georgia Tech has played on ABC five times in its last 13 contests, highlighted by last season’s memorable 16-13 season-opening victory at Florida State. Additionally, Saturday’s game at Clemson will mark the fourth time since the beginning of last season that the Yellow Jackets will occupy ABC’s coveted 3:30 p.m. time slot.

On Monday, Georgia Tech will learn the kickoff time and TV designation for its highly anticipated “Mayhem at Mercedes-Benz Stadium” game versus North Carolina on Sept. 25. A limited number of tickets remain for the GT-UNC showdown, which will be the first of six home games that the Yellow Jackets will play at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (the state-of-the-art Downtown Atlanta home of the National Football League’s Atlanta Falcons, located less than a mile from Tech’s Midtown campus) over the next six seasons.
