Saturday's Baseball, Softball Games Postponed by Rain

Feb. 22, 2003

Georgia Tech’s baseball game against Michigan, scheduled for Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Savannah, Ga., has been postponed due to rain. Officials hope that the game can be played Saturday evening, and the contest will begin as soon as weather and field conditions permit.

No. 1-ranked Tech defeated Rider, 8-1, Friday in the first round of the Memorial Health Diamond Classic at Greyson Stadium to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Senior righthander Chris Goodman is scheduled to take the mound for Tech against the Wolverines.

The Tech softball team is also in rain delay, trailing Florida, 4-0, in the second inning at Gainesville, Fla. The teams hope to resume play Saturday evening.
