High School: Heritage HS… played four years under coaches Chad Frazier and Al Peligrino… two-year team captain for the Patriots… made 133 tackles, including 22 in one game, as a senior… won the US Army Reserve National Scholar Athlete Award in 2009… all-area in 2008… also earned a letter in baseball and track.
Personal: Full name is Corey Dan Alford… parents are Dan and Teresa… born Dec. 29, 1990 in Atlanta… has two siblings — Chase and Callie… Chase is a freshman walk-on in 2013… multiple relatives are Tech graduates including father, uncle and cousin… majoring in mechanical engineering.
