Rath Falls at the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Intercollegiate

CHATANOOGA, Tenn. – Georgia Tech’s final competitor in the pre-qualifying rounds of the Icy Hot/ITA Men’s All-American Intercollegiate, Zachary Rath, was eliminated Sunday morning. Rath fell to New Mexico’s Max Jones in straight sets.

The sophomore from Montreal, Quebec, Canada reached the Round of 32 in the singles competition. Sunday morning, Rath faced Jones where he was defeated in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4. Rath advanced to the Round of 32 by defeating Joel Reckeway of Nebraska, Ben Rogers of Tennessee, and Troy’s Robert Van Swelm.

Jose Luis Muguruza is set to begin action on Monday, October 4. Muguruza will participate in singles action and will team with Marko Rajevac for doubles.
