THE FLATS — The 102nd season of the National Football League is upon us and several former Yellow Jackets had strong weeks in this edition of the #ProJackets Football Report.
Adam Gotsis continues to have a fine year, making his second-straight start with the Jaguars, who’ve struggled to start with an 0-4 start, dropping a 24-21 decision to the Bengals on Thursday Night Football. Gotsis added another sack to his season total, in addition to three more tackles despite only appearing in 60 percent of the defensive snaps for Jacksonville.
The Raiders dropped their first game of the season with a 28-14 setback to the LA Chargers. Tight end Darren Waller added his second touchdown catch of the season, hauling in four receptions total for 50 yards.
The Kansas City Chiefs took care of the Eagles, winning 42-30 and only needing kicker Harrison Butker to make six extra points. He also boomed seven kickoffs for four touchbacks.
Punter Pressley Harvin III hit a slight skid, punting three kicks for only 102 yards and one inside the 20 as the Steelers dropped a 27-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
