Georgia Tech Athletics Kicks Off 2026 Fourth Quarter Initiative

Tech donors can earn additional A-T Fund priority points while supporting student-athlete scholarships

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech athletics has officially launched its 2026 Fourth Quarter Initiative, which gives supporters the opportunity to receive four Alexander-Tharpe Fund Priority Points for every $100 donated to the Athletic Scholarship Fund through the end of the calendar year.

With the final quarter of 2026 underway, Yellow Jackets supporters can earn additional A-T Fund Priority Points by donating through December 31. The Athletic Scholarship Fund provides direct support for student-athletic scholarships across all 17 of Georgia Tech’s varsity sports teams and is one of the A-T Fund’s highest annual priorities, as it helps bridge the gap between endowment returns and scholarship costs.

Fourth Quarter Initiative gifts to the Athletic Scholarship Fund provide donors with four A-T Fund Priority Points per $100 donated, which is double the two points normally allotted per $100 given.

Securing A-T Fund Priority Points by December 31 is especially significant this year, as Priority Point totals will be frozen on December 31, and rankings will be used to assign personalized dates and times for Georgia Tech football season ticket members to select their seats as part of the upcoming Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field reseating process.

A-T Fund Priority Points are also used to allocate benefits such as seat locations and parking for all Georgia Tech athletics home events, as well as access to tickets for away games and postseason competitions.

New to the Fourth Quarter Initiative this year, any gifts to the Athletic Scholarship Fund since the beginning of the 2027 Giving Year (which started on July 1, 2026) will retroactively be credited with four points per $100 given.

Additionally, supporters have the option this year to direct their Fourth Quarter Initiative gifts to a specific Olympic sports program at Georgia Tech, which gives fans the opportunity to directly provide scholarship support to their favorite Olympic sports teams and student-athletes.

“As the landscape of college athletics continues to evolve, one thing that remains constant at Georgia Tech is our commitment to providing student-athletes with the resources to compete for championships at the highest levels, while also receiving a world-class education to ensure continued success when the ball stops bouncing,” Georgia Tech vice president and director of athletics Ryan Alpert said. “By investing in the Athletic Scholarship Fund, you’re supporting all 17 of our sports and 300-plus student-athletes, while also accumulating valuable A-T Fund Priority Points to receive great benefits and enhance your Georgia Tech fan experience.”
