Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field is undergoing a transformative renovation project ahead of the 2027 season that will greatly enhance the gameday experience for our student-athletes, fans and the entire Georgia Tech community, while also ensuring that our historic home will continue to serve generations of Yellow Jackets to come.

The renovation of Bobby Dodd Stadium will require a full reseating process. While many of our peers reseat their stadiums on a regularly scheduled basis, this will be the first reseat at Bobby Dodd Stadium since the completion of the last major renovation in 2003. This renovation will include the addition of 12,500 chairback seats, the widening of aisles, the installation of handrails and a full overhaul of premium areas, which will affect the stadium’s seating manifest. All season ticket members (with the very limited exceptions of those located in the Renasant Deck, Genesis Goal Line Club or ADA seating areas) will be a part of the reseating process.

While the original design for the upcoming stadium renovation included reducing stadium capacity to approximately 42,000 seats, the new design will keep capacity at approximately 50,000 seats. Therefore, most season ticket members will have the ability to remain in or near their current seats in this reseating process.

In addition, 2027 season tickets prices and TECH Fund commitments for all bowl seating areas (non-premium) will not increase from 2026. The 2027 schedule includes Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate versus Georgia being played at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

We know that reseating may bring some uncertainty and questions, and we are committed to transparency and helping each season ticket member through the process.

Step-by-Step Reseating Process

Step 1: Commit to Your 2027 Season Tickets

This fall, 2026 football season ticket members will be asked to commit to 2027 season tickets at the newly renovated Bobby Dodd Stadium. It will be a quick and easy process that can be completed by logging into your Georgia Tech athletics ticket account and simply paying the base price of $250 per season ticket. Season ticket commitments will be accepted beginning in the fall of 2026 through Dec. 31, 2026. Payments can be spread over a three-month period. Associated TECH Fund contributions are not required at the time of your commitment but can be paid in advance if you choose to do so in order to receive A-T Fund Priority Points ahead of a Priority Points rankings freeze on Dec. 31, 2026.

Ways to Improve Your A-T Fund Priority Points Ranking

There are several ways to acquire A-T Fund Priority Points and improve your ranking ahead of the seat selection process.

A-T Fund Priority Points rankings will freeze on Dec. 31, 2026 for the purposes of Bobby Dodd Stadium reseating.

  • Make a philanthropic gift to the A-T Fund before the Priority Points rankings freeze on Dec. 31, 2026. Gifts to the Full Steam Ahead initiative and to the Athletic Scholarship Fund receive two (2) points per $100 given. Click HERE to make a gift.
  • Make a TECH Fund advancement before the Priority Points rankings freeze on Dec. 31, 2026. TECH Fund Advancements will earn one (1) point per $100 contributed to the A-T Fund. Click HERE for more on TECH Fund advancements.
  • Renew or purchase new season tickets for other Georgia Tech sports before the priority points rankings freeze on Dec. 31, 2026. Season tickets are now available for 2026-27 men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and softball. Click HERE for more information and to purchase season tickets.

A-T Fund Priority Points are valuable beyond the reseating process. Rankings are used to determine allocation of tickets to home, away and postseason events (including the College Football Playoff, bowl games and NCAA Tournaments) and parking locations. The Priority Points system was implemented in 1987 and rewards both gift amounts and long-term support of Georgia Tech athletics. It is intended to promote fairness, create new giving opportunities, reward the loyalty of our longtime supporters, accommodate individual circumstances and benefit the entire Institute.

TECH Fund Advancements

Football season ticket members may (but are not required to) put down an advancement on the required 2027 TECH Fund contribution when they commit to their 2027 season tickets in the fall of 2026.

Benefits of putting down an advancement on TECH Fund contributions this fall include spreading the TECH Fund contribution over a three-month payment plan (click HERE for more information on payment plans) and receiving A-T Fund Priority Points (1 point per $100 contributed to the A-T Fund) ahead of the Priority Points rankings freeze on Dec. 31, 2026.

Please be aware that making a TECH Fund advancement this fall does not guarantee access to tickets in a specific seating location. If your TECH Fund advancement is larger than what is required for your ticket location after you select your seats, the balance of your advancement will be credited to your 2028 football season tickets.

Payment Plans

Two payment plans will be available for season ticket members as they commit to and select their 2027 season tickets.

1) When season ticket commitments are made this fall, season ticket members can elect to spread their commitment payments, as well as optional TECH Fund advancements, over three months:

  • 1/3 at the time of commitment
  • 1/3 in November 2026
  • 1/3 in December 2026

2) Any balances due following the seat selection process can be spread over four months:

  • 1/4 at time of seat selection
  • 1/4 in April 2027
  • 1/4 in May 2027
  • 1/4 in June 2027

Group Seating

One of the things that makes being a season ticket member so special is gathering with family, longtime friends and fellow Georgia Tech fans to make memories together on The Flats. We are very aware that there are groups of season ticket members that have sat together for generations, and we are committed to keeping those traditions intact!

Group seating will be available for groups of up to ten (10) different season ticket accounts. One season ticket member account will fill out a group seating form and all accounts from that group will be given the same seat selection time. The group’s selection time will be based on the average A-T Fund Priority Points of all accounts within the group.

Example of Group Seating Process

Buzz has four season tickets and 250 A-T Fund Priority Points. Buzz wishes to sit in a group with George P. Burdell (two season tickets and 200 points) and Sideways (six season tickets and 350 points). All members of the group commit to their season tickets and Buzz fills out the group seating form within his Georgia Tech ticket account before the Dec. 31, 2026 deadline.

Buzz, George P. Burdell and Sideways will all be assigned the same selection time, based on a ranking of 266.67 A-T Fund Priority Points. At their assigned selection time, Buzz, George P. Burdell and Sideways will all log on to select their seats, communicating with each other to choose which seats they want to select together.

Maximum Seats Per Account

To give as many fans as possible access to the best seats in the newly renovated Bobby Dodd Stadium, season ticket members can commit to a maximum of 10 seats per account.

EXCEPTION: If a season ticket member has more than 10 season tickets for 2026, they may commit to up to the same number of season tickets for 2027.

During the seat selection process, if a season ticket member wishes to purchase more seats than they committed to, they may do so at that time, but only up to a maximum of 10.

Parking

As part of the Bobby Dodd Stadium reseating process, we are also evaluating best practices from around the nation to better optimize parking for our A-T Fund donors, season ticket members and fans. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months.

Premium Areas

Access to the brand-new Founders Club and VIP Members Club, as well as the fully renovated East Club, are available to donors that have made commitments to the Full Steam Ahead initiative. At a later date, a member of the A-T Fund staff will communicate seating processes within those areas to those who are eligible.
