Kickoff Time Set for Georgia Tech-Virginia Tech

Jackets, Hokies to kick off at 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 (TV: ACC Network)

THE FLATS – Georgia Tech football’s Oct. 17 game at Virginia Tech will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised nationally on ACC Network, the Atlantic Coast Conference and its television partners announced on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets and Hokies are meeting for the 22nd time, renewing a rivalry that defined the ACC’s Coastal Division throughout much of this millennium. In the 17 seasons that the ACC was split into divisions for football (2005-19, 2021-22), Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech combined to finish atop the Coastal Division standings 11 times (five for GT, six for VT). Virginia Tech holds a slim 12-9 advantage in the all-time series, but Georgia Tech has won four of the last five meetings at VT’s Lane Stadium.

Before the Jackets make the trip to Blacksburg, Va. on Oct. 17, they return to action this week to face No. 23 Duke on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium at Hyundai Field. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

Georgia Tech will celebrate Reck Day, in recognition of the 65th anniversary of the Ramblin’ Reck, in conjunction with Saturday’s game against the 23rd-ranked Blue Devils. Click HERE for ticket specials, including $19.61 tickets, $65 off tickets in the new Wreck Deck premium area, as well as more information on giveaways and special events in celebration of Reck Day.

Saturday’s game is also a part of Georgia Tech’s annual Hall of Fame Weekend. Ten Yellow Jacket legends – including football standouts Jeremiah Attaochu and Harrison Butker and legendary coaches Danny Hall and Grover Hinsdale – will be honored during the 2026 Georgia Tech Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Friday night and at halftime of Saturday’s game.
