THE FLATS – Georgia Tech softball (16-11, 4-2 ACC) came up short in its Tuesday night game against UAB (12-13, 0-3 American) with a 9-8 finish at Mewborn Field.

- Tymber Harris made her fifth start of the season, sixth appearance of the season, and faced 10 batters across her 1.2 innings pitched.

- Gailey helped lead Tech offensively with two runs alongside Madi Duffel who recorded two runs as well. Duffel now helps lead the team with five multi-run games this season while Gailey has two.
- Duffel’s two runs were accompanied by two hits, making her one of two Yellow Jackets to see a multi-hit performance on Tuesday with the other being Emma Simon. The freshman second baseman now sits with six multi-hit games this season while the sophomore short stop has five.
- Gailey, Leschber, and Simon each finished the midweek contest with two RBI apiece. Gailey and Leschber are tied with Hunter and Duffel for second most multi-RBI games this season with five each. Simon sits just behind them as well as Tucker and Holly Medina, all of whom have three multi-RBI games this season
- With her two walks on Tuesday, Alyssa Willer tied her longest safely reached streak of the season after reaching in each of the last 13 games. Out of 27 games played this season, Willer has safely reached in 26 games, the most of any Yellow Jacket this season.
- The 9-8 loss was the first game of the season that Tech lost after scoring eight or more runs. When scoring eight or more runs, the Yellow Jackets now have an 11-1 record.
