TOP STORYLINES

• Georgia Tech baseball briefly returns home, hosting Georgia State on Tuesday, April 18 at Mac Nease Baseball Park.

• Tuesday is the second game of the series between the crosstown foes, coming after a 14-inning classic at Coolray Field where the Jackets fell 12-11.

• Tech is coming off a tough weekend where it battled without any of its weekend starters on the mound from Opening Weekend due to injuries.

• Tech has been snake bitten all year by injuries, not having its intended 1-9 lineup alongside its 1-4 starting pitchers for any games after Opening Day. On the mound specifically, Tech has had three pitchers miss a combined 10 weekend starts over the last seven weekends.

• Where Tech has excelled is at the plate, ranking No. 2 in the ACC in average (.313) with six .300 hitters in the lineup: Kristian Campbell (.437), Jake DeLeo (.391), Angelo Dispigna (.349), Jadyn Jackson (.338) and Jackson Finley (.311).

• Campbell has been red-hot of late and is hitting a team-best .437 overall. In his last 10 games, he’s hit .487 with 19 hits, four doubles and a home run with a .571 on-base percentage.

• Campbell recorded a hit in his 20th-straight game Sunday, becoming the 14th Yellow Jacket to hold a 20-game hitting streak and first since Kel Johnson hit in 22-consecutive games in 2016.

• Only three Jackets have accomplished the feat in the last 10 years as Kyle Wren also hit in 20-straight games in 2013.

• The one-two punch of Campbell and DeLeo at the top has been effective this season.

• DeLeo ranks in the top 10 of the ACC in average, doubles (15), hits (61), home runs (12), RBI (38), slugging (.731) and total bases (114).

BARK AT THE PARK

Georgia Tech is hosting all your furry friends for for Bark in the Park on Tuesday at Mac Nease Baseball Park.

Fans will enter with their pups through Gate 3 and must meet the following qualifications prior to entry into Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium:

• All owners must sign a waiver – Click HERE to download waiver and email to jbaskinger@athletics.gatech.edu once completed.
• Only two (2) dogs per owner may enter the stadium.
• Owners and dogs are welcome to sit in Section 12 on the first-base side and the nearby concrete area within Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.
  • Reserved and bleacher seats are off limits.
  • Permitted owners will be supplied with a wristband to leave and re-enter the stadium.
• Dogs must be non-aggressive, good in crowds of dogs and people, not in heat, in good health and current on all vaccinations.
• Dog must be under 80 pounds.
• Dogs must be on a leash at all times.
• Children with dogs must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older at all times.
• Owners must promptly bag and dispose of any waste created by their dog.

Water monsters will be available on the first-base concourse for filling up bowls to keep dogs hydrated. Complimentary bowls will be provided if needed.

Other giveaways for fans and their canines in attendance will include bandanas and other dog toys.
