Georgia Tech Basketball Video Series “Relentless” Begins Friday

THE FLATS – “Relentless,” a bi-weekly video series which will offer an inside look into Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball program throughout the summer and pre-season as it prepares for head coach Josh Pastner’s third season, will debut Friday morning at 11 a.m. with new episodes being released every other Friday into the fall.

The series will explore various aspects of the Yellow Jackets’ program, on and off the court, and introduce viewers to Tech’s incoming student-athletes and new staff. Viewers will be able to get an inside look at the Yellow Jackets’ eight-week summer practice and player development program, which begins June 11. NCAA rules allow for student-athletes to engage in strength and conditioning workouts and on-court work for total of eight hours a week during summer term.

Fans will be able to view the series on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube in addition to all episodes being available on Ramblinwreck.com.

Pastner welcomes back six of the Yellow Jackets’ top nine players from last season, centered around a promising sophomore group that includes point guard Jose Alvarado (Brooklyn, N.Y.), wing guard Curtis Haywood II (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and forwards Evan Cole (Cumming, Ga.) and Moses Wright (Raleigh, N.C.), as well as veteran seniors Brandon Alston (Vienna, Va.) and Abdoulaye Gueye (Dakar, Senegal). This group started a total of 91 games a year ago.

Tech also welcomes a freshman class ranked No. 41 in the nation and includes four-star guard Michael Devoe (Orlando, Fla.) and three-star forwards Khalid Moore (New York, N.Y.) and Kristian Sjolund (Katy, Texas).

Season tickets for the 2018-19 season went on sale Thursday. For each season ticket purchased, fans will receive an exclusive adidas Tech Gold performance t-shirt (one per ticket and ability to pick your size). Prices start at $290, which is less than $15 per game. Returning season ticket holders that renew their seats by June 7 will save $25 per ticket. In addition, with the new branding efforts including the new Tech Gold and wordmark, the floor at McCamish Pavilion has been updated (see video below).
