ATLANTA – Georgia Tech’s Kristi Miller picked up three wins over ranked opponents last week, earning Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Tennis Performer of the Week honors.

Miller helped the No. 3 Yellow Jackets to a 4-3 win over No. 22 Clemson on Wednesday, and earned two big wins in a loss to No. 9 Northwestern on Saturday.

Against the Tigers, Miller got the 6-4, 6-1 win over No. Federica van Aldrichem at No. 1 singles as Georgia Tech earned its first ACC win of the season.

Miller, ranked No. 6 in the nation in singles play, knocked off No. 10 Cristelle Grier of Northwestern at No. 1 singles, 7-6 (6), 3-6, 6-4. Miller, a sophomore from Marysville, Mich., also teamed with Lyndsay Shosho at No. 1 doubles to topple Grier and Alexis Prousis, who form the No. 5 doubles tandem in the nation, 8-3. Miller and Shosho are ranked No. 11 in doubles.

The Yellow Jackets (7-2, 1-0 ACC) return to action on Tuesday, March 7, with a home match against Vanderbilt at 2 p.m.
