Wimbledon, England – Former Georgia Tech All-American Kevin King, who along with partner Ryan Harrison earned one of four qualifying spots in the Wimbledon gentlemen’s doubles draw last week, will open competition Wednesday morning against the 13th-seeded team of American Eric Butorac and South African Raven Klaasen.

Their match is the third scheduled for court 19 in a session that begins at 11:30 a.m. local time (6:30 a.m. Eastern).

Unseeded in the qualifier at the Bank of England Sports Ground, King and Harrison had to win twice last week to gain one of four qualifying spots in the main doubles draw. They defeated third-seeded Rameez Junaid of Austria and Phillipp Marx of Germany in three sets in the opening round, then ousted eighth-seeded Konstantin Kravchuck of Russia and Tim Puetz of Germany last Wednesday.

The 23-year-old Peachtree City, Ga., native, who has three professional doubles titles under his belt in 2014, is ranked No. 131 in the world in doubles, and has won three doubles titles in ITF Futures and ATP Challengers events while playing with former Tech teammates Juan Spir and Dean O’Brien. King was a two-time All-American with 90 doubles wins at Tech. Harrison, an American from Boca Raton, Fla., ranked 105th in the world in doubles, will play in his fourth Wimbledon.

Kutorac is ranked No. 28 in the world in doubles and is competing in his eighth Wimbledon Championships, while Klaasen is ranked No. 25 and is playing in his second Wimbledon.
