TOP STORYLINES

• Georgia Tech baseball concludes its long homestand when it hosts Pitt for a crucial ACC home series on May 5-7 at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium.

• Georgia Tech looks to close the season on a hot streak as one of only 17 teams nationally with 10+ top-50 RPI wins, currently riding a five-game win streak that dates back to Game 3 against then-No. 17 Miami (Fla.).

• Tech’s remaining ACC series are Pitt, No. 10 Duke and No. 21 Virginia as it winds down the season.

• Tech will shake up its starting rotation this weekend, adding sophomore Aeden Finateri to the mix. Finateri began his career as a Sunday starter at Tech, but has been terrific out of the bullpen this year, sporting a 4.06 ERA on the mound — good for second-best on the team.

• Tech will continue to bookend its weekend rotation with freshman Luke Schmolke and redshirt sophomore Jackson Finley.

• Where Tech has excelled is at the plate, ranking No. 2 in the ACC in average (.328) with EIGHT .300 hitters in the lineup: Kristian Campbell (.412), Angelo Dispigna (.383), Jake DeLeo (.379), Jadyn Jackson (.345), Stephen Reid (.337), John Giesler (.327), Jackson Finley (.322) and Drew Compton (.320).

• Finley was named a Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week, hitting four home runs and driving in a whopping 12 runs last week.

• In a week where the Jackets hit .432 as a team, including 13 doubles and 14 home runs, Dispigna also impressed with a .615 average, including two home runs and eight walks.

• DeLeo also continues to rank in the top 10 of the ACC in average, doubles (17), hits (72), home runs (13), slugging (.684) and total bases (130).
