DURHAM, N.C. – Georgia Tech opens the 2009 ACC Baseball Championship as the No. 4 seed, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced this weekend. The Yellow Jackets will begin their tournament run Wednesday at 12 p.m., when they face 5th-seeded Miami at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C.
The 2009 ACC Baseball Championship will begin Wednesday, May 20 and conclude Sunday, May 24, with the 1 p.m. title game.
The championship is split into two brackets, with each team playing the other three teams on their side of the bracket through the first four days of the tournament. The winners of the two brackets will meet Sunday for the championship.

Wednesday, 12 p.m. – No. 4 Georgia Tech vs. No. 5 Miami
Thursday, 12 p.m. – No. 4 Georgia Tech vs. No. 8 Boston College
Saturday, 12 p.m. – No. 4 Georgia Tech vs. No. 1 Florida State
Sunday, 1 p.m. – Championship Game

Multiple ticket packages are available for the tournament, including a team package which covers just the three games the Yellow Jackets will be competing in this week. Cost for the team package is $24.99 per person. Full tournament packages ($120) and single-game tickets ($10-adults, $5-children/seniors/students) are also available. All ticket packages may be purchased online by visiting the 2009 ACC Baseball Championships Ticket Website.
The Durham Bulls Athletic Park is hosting the tournament this season after the initial plans to play at Fenway Park in Boston fell through. Greensboro will host in 2010 before the tournament moves to Myrtle Beach for 2011, 2012 and 2013.
