George Named Director of Communications

ATLANTA – Allison George, a member of the Georgia Tech Athletic Association staff since 1988, has been named Tech’s Director of Communications, Director of Athletics Dave Braine announced.

George has been Tech’s Associate Director of Communications the last two years after serving as Assistant Sports Information Director from 1988-2000. She also served as a student assistant in the Tech sports information office from 1985-88.

A native of New Hyde Park, N.Y., who was raised in Atlanta, George earned a bachelor of science degree in management from Georgia Tech in 1988, graduating with honor.

Mike Stamus, part of the Tech sports information staff since 1983, has been named Associate Director of Communications.
