Tulsa, Okla. – Georgia Tech’s Christopher Eubanks has earned a top-16 seed in the main singles draw of the Saint Francis Health Systems ITA All-American Championships, which gets underway Thursday at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The 6-foot-7 sophomore from Atlanta will take on Vanderbilt’s Daniel Valent, at 1 p.m.. ET Thursday. The main draw includes 32 players and concludes Monday with the championship match. A player must win five matches to capture the title.

Eubanks has not played competitively since the Southern Intercollegiate Championships in Athens in mid-September, where he went 4-1 in the top draw and reached the semifinals.

Eubanks’ Yellow Jacket teammates have concluded play in the ITA All-American Championships. Junior Cole Fiegel won two matches last weekend in the pre-qualifying draw, but was stopped on match short of reaching the qualifying rounds. Senior Nathan Rakitt and junior Carlos Benito each lost in the opening round of the qualifying draw, with Rakitt picking up one victory in the consolation draw.

Both of Tech’s doubles teams — Eubanks/Rakitt and Benito/Fiegel, lost in the opening round of doubles qualifying.
