36 Yellow Jackets To Compete In Short Course Nationals This Weekend

ATLANTA – Thirty-six different Yellow Jackets will be competing in different events at the 2008 ConocoPhillips Short Course National Championships, Dec. 4-6, at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

“It’s always great to be able to have Nationals held at Georgia Tech,” head coach Stu Wilson said. “It brings a lot of recognition to the Institute as well as the swimming program. This is going to be a fast meet and a lot of the best swimmers in the country will be here. Our swimmers will be ready and up for the challenge.”

A full recap each day will be posted on www.ramblinwreck.com, but live stats and live video can be found HERE at the U.S. Swimming’s official event page. Psych sheets and heat sheets as well as ticket information and much, much more can be found there as well.

Action begins each day with preliminary heats at 9:30 a.m. The finals session gets underway each evening at 6:00 p.m.On Thursday, Dec. 4, the 200-free relay, 500-free, 200-IM, 50-free and 400-medley relay events will be held. On Friday, Dec. 5, the 200-medley relay, 400-IM, 100-fly, 200-free, 100-breast, 100-back and 800-free relay events will take place, while the final day of action includes the 1650-free, 200-back, 100-free, 200-breast, 200-fly and 400-free relay.
