The Georgia Tech men’s tennis team struggled in day three of the ITA Mideast Regional being held in Chapel Hill, NC, as each participant was eliminated from the field.
Jordan Delass began the day with a victory over Alex Conjanu of William and Mary, 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the Round of 64, but later fell in the afternoon to Todd Paul of Wake Forest, 6-3, 6-2.
In other Round of 64 action, George Gvelesiani lost to Maciek Sykut of Florida State, 7-5, 6-4 while Zachary Rath was defeated by Virginia’s Darrin Cohen, 7-6 (7), 6-1. Also dropping matches in the Round of 64 were Marko Rajevac, who fell to Colin O’Brien of NC State, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) while David North was defeated by Geraldo Knorr of South Carolina, 6-4, 7-6 (5).
In doubles competition, Tech’s team of North and Rajevac fell in the Round of 16 to Old Dominion’s duo of Henrique Cancado and Eidy Igarasti, 9-7.
