THE FLATS – Highlighted by seven home games and an exhibition contest, Georgia Tech women’s basketball has completed its 2021-22 non-conference schedule.
The Yellow Jackets open the campaign at Central Michigan (Nov. 9) before kicking off the home slate at McCamish Pavilion hosting Kennesaw State (Nov. 11) and Belmont (Nov. 14). Tech will prepare for the season-opening stretch with an exhibition contest against Clayton State at McCamish Pavilion on Nov. 1.
Following a road trip to East Tennessee State (Nov. 17), Tech returns for another pair of home contests against Auburn (Nov. 21) and Hofstra (Nov. 24). A pair of road games follow with Tech’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge matchup at Purdue (Dec. 1) and an in-state tilt at Georgia (Dec. 5). A three-game homestand will conclude the Jackets’ out-of-conference schedule with UConn (Dec. 9, previously announced), Furman (Dec. 12) and Boston University (Dec. 21) all visiting McCamish Pavilion.
Georgia Tech is coming off a successful 2020-21 season, finishing with a 17-9 overall record and the program’s second-ever NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 appearance. The Yellow Jackets, which finished third in the ACC with a 12-6 league record, return 10 letterwinners from last season’s squad. Additionally, Tech welcomes three newcomers to the roster for the 2021-22 season.
