Wendy's, Tech Football Network Announce Unique Partnership

Aug. 5, 2010

ATLANTA – If any Georgia Tech football game goes into overtime during the 2010 season, Wendy’s Restaurants, a longtime Yellow Jacket corporate sponsor, will be there with Coach Paul Johnson’s squad as the official title sponsor of the Georgia Tech ISP Sports Radio Network’s broadcast throughout the entire extra playing time.

Wendy’s will be prominently featured during the overtime period with a special feature recapping regulation play and setting the scene for the OT, two 30-second commercial spots, and as the presenting sponsor of the official statistics for any scoring drives by the Jackets or their opponent during the extra time.

“Obviously, there’s no more exciting portion of any game broadcast than when teams enter overtime,” Owen Shull, general manager of the Georgia Tech ISP Network, says. “We’re delighted to have Wendy’s be a major part of the dramatic conclusion to any Yellow Jacket game that extends beyond regulation time this fall.”

Georgia Tech opens 2010 play on September 4th, hosting South Carolina State.
