Tech's McClinton Places Fourth in 100-meter Hurdles at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – Georgia Tech All-ACC senior Alisha McClinton finished fourth in the college women’s 100-meter hurdles championship Saturday, as the Yellow Jacket track and field team wrapped up a solid showing at the 108th Penn Relays at Franklin Field.

McClinton, who qualified for the final with a strong race on Friday, clocked a NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 13.60 in the event. Danielle Carruthers of Indiana won the race in a time of 12.94.

McClinton’s top performance of the season is a 13.45 she posted in the finals of the ACC Championships last weekend.

Tech’s men and women’s track and field teams are not done competing for the weekend, as seven of the Jackets’ top field event athletes will compete Sunday at the University of Tennessee’s Knoxville Invitational.
